Objective

In general, a Management Development Programme (MDP) provides middle and senior management with an improved orientation to their leadership and management role in the organisation with a focus of improving people management and self-mastery. It also encompasses the broader aspects of global leadership trends; best practice, and management and leadership roles for a more strategic view to managing organisations. Furthermore, it encompasses the broader aspects of general management competencies.

It is often assumed that managers know and understand all aspects of their duties and responsibilities. In many cases, the broad range and strategic focus of management's responsibilities require the development of focused and strategic skills in these areas.

Status

Accredited with the Council on Higher Education and Registered with SAQA.

Duration

Minimum 13 contact sessions (core modules, plus launch and graduation) - these contact days should ideally be spread over a 10-12 month period, into logical, ordered workshop blocks. This duration includes structured self study, contact tuition as well as the completion of all required assessments. The programme starts with a Launch, and ends with a Presentations Day/Graduation.

This programme can be conducted as in-company programme which will be highly customised to meet the requirements of each company or as an open programme.
